We are seeking a seasoned UI/UX Design Manager with a profound understanding and significant experience in crafting intuitive, user-centered B2B and B2C solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in spearheading design projects that enhance user satisfaction by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the product. This role involves a robust collaboration component, requiring the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, particularly software engineers. Unique to this role is the advantage of experience in building Generative AI products, as we strive to innovate at the intersection of design and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy: Lead the UI/UX design team with clarity and vision, ensuring the delivery of first-class design solutions from concept to completion. Establish and champion a user-centered design culture.

Collaboration: Work closely with the product management and engineering teams to integrate design into the product development process. This collaboration includes understanding technical back-end complexities as well as front-end design and development.

User Experience Design: Plan and conduct user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns. Drive end-to-end user experience design, including personas, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.

User Interface Design: Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs. Provide strategic thinking and leadership in identifying and implementing new UX patterns and standards.

Generative AI Products: Guide the design process for innovative AI-powered solutions, ensuring they are user-friendly, effective, and appealing. Share insights on potential creative and functional aspects of generative AI product development.

Mentorship & Growth: Cultivate a collaborative working environment and provide mentorship for team members; identify growth opportunities and new technologies for continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related field; alternatively, relevant experience in UI/UX design roles.

8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing completed design projects.

Proven experience designing B2B and B2C products, with a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.

Strong experience in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmnisGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite, and the like.

Experience working with software engineering teams and understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Exceptional understanding of the relationship between design, functionality, user experience, and artificial intelligence, ideally with hands-on experience in projects involving generative AI.

Robust problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently.

Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to relocate to Islamabad, Pakistan, if not currently residing there.

Nice to Have:

Experience in leading design sprints and UX workshops.

Knowledge of the tech industry and advancements in the artificial intelligence and generative AI sectors.

Experience in international working environments and cross-cultural teams.
